As a real estate broker with over 15 years of experience in the Miami real estate market, Miami Shores made sense for me for it’s proximity to every side of town.  As a realtor I am bound to be in a central location or I would spend too much time commuting.

Miami Shores neighborhood is home of the most exquisite, luxurious, waterfront and non-waterfront, houses in Miami. There is no real doubt why this thriving community is growing every day. With an active village government, friendly residents, and an ideal central location, the residential neighborhood of Miami Shores is the place to live. This is the reason why Miami Shores luxury real estate is thriving nowadays.

Miami Shores is in a desirable location near Wynwood, the Design District and close to the Miami International Airport as well as the Fort Lauderdale airport. It is near cultural, entertaining and educational institutions, that makes the area ideal for families. Miami Shores is at the same time, a modern and convenient neighborhood and an old fashion family house area with a real sense of community with plenty of green areas and with the awarded Country Day private school. In 1932, the City of Miami gave up its jurisdiction and it got incorporated under the name of Miami Shores Village. The average prices in 2010 in the neighborhood were around $300,000 or $150/sqft. They are now in 2020 on average at $700,000 or $300/sqft. In 2010 only 1 house had sold under $1,000,000 whereas there are more than 20 that sold above $1,000,000 in 2019. Waterfront homes are a little more expensive than the average house but there are available waterfont houses for sale in Miami Shores. They are in general above $1,000,000.

“Buy land” as our grandfathers always repeated. The size of the lots in Miami Shores vary from 6,500sqft up to 20,000sqft which is certainly not the case in other neighborhoods.
